Our masa harina (nixtamalized corn flour) is made from just two ingredients: heirloom (non-GMO) corn and slaked lime (key to unlocking corn’s nutritional value). Gluten-free, no preservatives.

Making fresh tortillas at home is as easy as combining a cup of masa harina with a cup of water, then pressing and cooking on the stove. Ready in minutes!

Fresh Tortillas in Minutes

  1. Mix 1 cup masa harina with 1 cup warm water. (Add a pinch of salt if you desire.) Add more masa if it’s too wet, more water if it's too dry.
  2. Knead until your masa is smooth (3-5 minutes). Optional: Let your masa rest (covered) for 10-20 minutes.
  3. Roll your masa into balls about the size of golf balls. Flatten a dough ball using a tortilla press lined with plastic.
  4. Remove from liner and place on a hot (400-500°F) non-stick surface. Cook for 20-30 seconds on each side, flipping three times. Remove and keep warm in a kitchen towel or tortilla warmer. Provecho!
